About Hannah

Born and raised in the Midwest, I first visited Kodiak for the summer right after my high school graduation, returning many times until I permanently moved to Kodiak 6 years ago. I have always wanted to be a painter (find the artist career cut out doll from 3rd grade at my parent’s house) and have a studio art degree, but never really committed to painting regularly. Last fall, I gave myself a shake and started painting every day throughout the winter.

I primarily paint from photos taken during my adventures around Kodiak. However, I do enjoy en plein air painting when the mood and weather strike. I use acrylic paints, working in a loose style to capture my experiences and love of Kodiak.
